 The Youth  Symphony of Kansas City celebrated its 50th season in 2009-10. Since 1958 the Youth Symphony has enriched the musical education and experience of talented young musicians in the Kansas City area by providing opportunities to study and perform classical music repertoire. Today more than 350 musicians, ages 9 through 21, participate in a program of four full orchestras and one string orchestra.
