 The Youth  Symphony of Kansas City celebrates its 49th season in 2007-08. Since 1958 the Youth Symphony has enriched the musical education and experience of talented young musicians in the Kansas City area by providing opportunities to study and perform classical music repertoire. Today more than 400 musicians, ages 9 through 21, participate in a program of five full orchestras and two string orchestras.
